While on a trip to San Diego, California I had the pleasure of visiting the San Diego Zoo. It was there I was able to take the wonderful reference shots of this magnificent grizzly bear that gave me the idea for this oil painting |

I had the great joy of photographing this wolf while at a Terry Isaacs painting workshop in 2001. I was so taken by the look of this animal I had to sit right down and draw him. |
